  1. Awesome news, gives me a lot of hope. Thanks for sharing.
  2. Nice to meet someone that was once a CC faculty member. I am waiting to hear from Northeastern Univ of Boston.

  3. I wish you the best of luck.
  4. Notra Dame sounds awesome, congrats!!
  5. Wow, congrats!!
  6. I have a feeling that I will be hearing something this week also. My application was complete and under review as of 2-25 and it usually take 2 to 3 weeks after that for the college to reach a decision. So, the coming Thursday, it will be 3 weeks. I am just on pins and needles ....
  7. Good luck, Jeanne
  8. I also applied to just one program. I am 53 years old, a long time community college professor and want to take my career to the next level. I have been wanting to do this for a long time and now that my children are 16 and 21, I feel that the time is right. The college I applied to seems like a great fit for me. If I do not get in, I have just been inspired by this thread to apply again. So happy that I found this forum.
  9. The same thing happened to me. So, I searched Facebook to see if my University had a fan page there. To my surprise, I did find one. So, I posted a similar question to yours on FB. The administrator of the FB page who works in the admissions office consulted with an admission coach at the college and advised me to send a replacement by snail mail, asking them to replace it for the original one. I did that and the college replaced it within a week. Hope this helps.
  10. Thanks, I am hoping that the admission committee will be impressed with it.

  11. Awesome article, thanks for posting this link.
  12. I would not mention not getting into the other college. Instead, I would only say that I am interested in attending other universities because I am trying to expand my horizons and professional research contacts in my field of study.
  13. The college where I applied to also uses Apply Yourself. It is worth checking and this is where my all the admission decisions are posted by my prospective college. I know this because a friend told me that he got admitted last week to the same program and college that I applied to and that his decision was posted on the Apply Yourself site. My status recently changed on 2-25-2010 from, "Submitted", to "Complete and under Review". It also showed the dates when my 3 LOR's, 9 transcripts, personal statement and resume were received. I just checked my status again and noticed that there was no decision link anywhere. Glad to hear about this since my friend had did not mention this. Will now be looking for this new link daily.
  14. Wow, that is great news. Congrats!!
  15. Boy, I am so happy to have found this thread, I had not even thought about how Spring Break might delay my decision admission. Well, I just checked and found out that the college that I applied to does not start their Spring Break until April 4th. Therefore, I am now more confident of hearing something about my admission decision sometime this month.
  16. Someone on Facebook told me last week that they got accepted into the same program I am seeking admission to. I felt very happy for him but at the same time felt jealous that it was not me.
  17. Someone posted on one of my Linkedin Higher Education groups a question about applying to the same Ed.D program and to the same college where I have applied to. I got a notification about the post sent to my work email address and at first thought it was from the University that I had applied to. At first my heart stopped for a few seconds, then I realized it was not from my college but from Linkedin instead. Needless to say, I was so disappointed. As of today, I have only heard that they are full for Spring semester and are considering me for Summer semester admission instead and that my application was complete and under review as of 02-25-2010. So, I am going crazy checking my email many times a day and still waiting.
  18. Glad I found this tread. I had the same question and am happy to see that it is possible to hear about an admission decision by email during a Saturday or Sunday. Will keep checking my email account and online application site for updates.
  19. Wow, thanks for the information. This is a real eye opener.
