Unless you are planning to apply to an Ivy League college, I think your scores are just fine. Just make sure your LOR's and POS are just stellar.

Thanks for sharing. The dreams do sound similar. They both revolve around being anxious about an possible obstacle, that might prevent us from reaching our goals.

I had a dream last night that it was the day that I was going to hear about whether I got admitted or not. However, I decided to go on a trip to the mall and got hopelessly lost. I found myself out in a rural section with no cell phone towers or Internet connections. I was so anxious since I did not know where I was and kept thinking that it was so ironic that on the day that I had been waiting forever for, I was not going to find out the final decision at all. In the dream, the University was supposed to call me to let me know. Therefore, I was also thinking that since they could not get a hold of me, they would probably just pass me up for admission and call the next person on the list to accept him/her instead. Has anyone else had a similar dream?

If you want some insight from others, it would help if you stated what college you graduated from and what your GRE score is?

I have taken Master's Degree 5000 and 6000 level graduate level classes before at a few universities as a special non degree seeking student. However. right now I am applying for a Doctoral program and have already asked the college this question. The answer was negative. The college explained that the Doctoral 7000 level classes were open to admitted Doctoral student candidates only.

I agree with everyone else. A lot of colleges will this say to comply with the Ferpa law which prohibits the release of information to anyone else but the student him/her self. Over the phone, it is nearly impossible for the college to really know who they are speaking to so a lot of colleges will have this kind of policy to protect student privacy.

Completely Unprofessional LOR..Chances Ruined?

I agree with everyone else. The words she used will make your application stand out in the readers mind as you being a candidate who is very serious about the field of Neuroscience. In reality, that is exactly what most colleges are looking for so I think it will help you stand out from the crowd of other applicants. I would not worry about it if I were you and I wish you the best of luck. -
This sucks, I would die if this happened to me. I feel so bad for these students.
