Congrats to the Yale poster! Would you be so kind as to DM me your specialty and share whether you interviewed beforehand? Thanks!

Looking for Visual Culture/Journalism/Media focused PhD programs

I would consider working with J. Hill at UDel. -
Current Tufts student here. Department is currently hiring a medievalist. Job talks are ongoing, but surely someone will be hired by fall 2021.
-
I am a first-year student in the M.A. program at Tufts. I'd be happy to speak with you directly through PM or on the phone if you have any specific questions.
-
I would also suggest looking at University of Delaware's terminal MA or PhD program. Larry Nees, who has written some of medieval art's leading textbooks, is still active in the department after stepping down as chair (https://www.arthistory.udel.edu/people/faculty/nees). He is likely to retire soon since the department just hired Denva Gallant in 2018-2019 (https://www.arthistory.udel.edu/people/faculty/gallant?uid=gallant&Name=Denva Gallant).

Any tips for great History of Photography programs?

Just FYI to posters re: Williams, I emailed them after receiving zero communication and they told me I was waitlisted. A week later they sent me the course offerings for this fall (and still waitlisted). I heard from a few people, but anyone else thinking about going to Tufts?
-
Tufts admits! I am most likely going. Feel free to PM me if you'd like to connect.
-
Williams admit, congrats! What kind of email did you receive?
-
Could Berkeley admit PM me? I also interviewed with my POI recently.
-
for the two WASHU admits; congratulations!!!! could you also please share POI and if you applied for one of the fellowships (specifically the Olin Fellowship)?

Hi folks, I took the GRE my junior year of undergrad in early February 2018, intending to enter graduate school in the fall of 2020. I know the score lasts five years, so the score itself should be okay until June 30, 2023. I recently heard someone say that while the score lasts for five years, graduate programs do not want scores that are more than 3 years old, or that they discount them in some way. Perhaps for other graduate programs? Or subject tests? I am merely wondering if anyone has heard similar chatter, or if having a 3+-year-old GRE score has carried any baggage for anyone in the admissions process. Thank you in advance!

Can confirm as someone who has interned at MoMA in the past, that even if you are hired, actions taken will read as "none" on the interface.
-
Hi misammie123. I don't feel comfortable posting which department it was at the moment. Thank you for understanding.
-
I was contacted directly by the department for an interview at the MoMA last Friday.
-
I interviewed on Friday, March 24th, and received an acceptance on Monday, April 17th.
-
I received a rejection letter on Tuesday, April 18th. Best of luck to y'all!
-
Hi, @p1158911 . I received an acceptance directly from the department head. I have a family friend who applied to the Whitney last year, and she actually never received an acceptance, nor a rejection.
-
Hey @Lola362! I interviewed with the Education department, which was my first choice on my application. I also applied for Curatorial and Development.
-
Haven't heard anything from MoMA...
-
I interviewed for the Met Cloisters Summer Internship for Undergraduate Students. Fingers crossed for all! EDIT: For anyone waiting to hear back from the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, I received notification and interviewed last weekend at the Guggenheim.
-
Interviewed for an internship at the Whitney Museum of American Art last week!
-
Interviewed for an internship at the MET in March. Interviewers said we would hear back in April. Considering previous applicants have heard back in late March, decisions (for my program, at least) will probably come out this week.
