Hah. Just came here to post this exactly. Nope! And I woke up specifically now expecting to have an email to start my day. Grrrrrr

Hearing that some people have also gotten rejections makes me even more confused! Are these people you personally know? I definitely agree about the deadline thing. This way they can say they were set to send but that the system just didn't process them all or something ridiculous. I would have preferred at least an email saying the results are being spread over x number of days.

Yea, I would have interpreted that they would send them all on one day...or at least divide them up in a manner of not "acceptances on friday, rejects on Monday". But we don't know for sure if people have gotten rejections either, we only have a small sample size represented here. I too am going under the assumption that I didn't get it but apparently this has happened before where they send some acceptances on a Friday and then more on a Monday....which I personally think is just a terrible thing to do without giving any sort of information about what's going on. The waiting wouldn't be as bad if we knew why only some have gotten e-mails and some of us haven't.

Who did you hear this from? I'm operating under the assumption I didn't get it personally but apparently last year acceptances were sent out on a Friday and Monday.

I think it could depend on institution and committee. I am from UW and I believe there were some engineers that got their results today. But people in my area have heard nothing and my friends in psychology at UW have also heard nothing (But apparently guelph psychology has?) I wish they had just either sent them all yesterday or just saved them until after the weekend. The waiting is torture for those who haven't heard yet and it really is ruining my weekend.

Did they send out any rejections yesterday as well or are those all getting saved for Monday?

This is depressing since I only qualify for the 2. Sigh. I wish they just had sent everything today. Puts a damper on the weekend.

Stupid question but how do you know what committee you have

Ontario as well and nothing. I am so curious what order they send the emails out in. I.e.: accepted and then rejected? Province by province? Alphabetical? By institutions?

This could be the case but this also just seems like a safe response to not have angry grad students grumbling if results aren't when they said . My grad site still says that results are expected end of March and that the university knows just about as much as we do as to when to expect things.

Everytime my email dings I sprint to the computer. It's normally just research gate notifications. SIGH

I think tomorrow will be the day. I got an email from my university on November 23rd saying I was forwarded so tomorrow will be exactly 17 weeks (what the NSERC website says) from then. I can't imagine them doing mid-april, my institution told me that it would be late march.

Thank you! So now the question is do I wait for the emails to get sent out before getting my account unlocked or just bite the bullet and admit my failure at remembering passwords now.

Do they release the results on the login in portal or through email? I got locked out of my account and am too embarrassed to phone them before results come out

I have a strange feeling it will but maybe this is just me trying to find hope that this endless waiting will end and I can start to focus on studying for my comps.

I know. And I keep telling myself not to worry as I check emails for non-NSERC related things after hours in the evening but then that small shred of hope in me tells me "NSERC might email you at 2 a.m. just because they can"
