I, too, will be at the PCA/ACA. I'll be on a Computer Culture panel that discusses the relationships between Deleuze and Guattari's work and cyberculture. What are y'all working on there?

I also applied to Duke Lit., mainly because of Katherine Hayles and Michael Hardt, though knowing that Jameson is still there, also, puts a cherry on the top. They also recently established an inter-disciplinary center for research into digital scholarship and other emergent/experimental forms of media technology that joins students in the humanities with cognitive scientists and computer programmers. Being interested in the spatio-temporality of digital media, shifts in what is considered the "human," and Deleuze and Guattari, Duke's program sounds quite heavenly.... Good luck everyone!

When it comes to schools that perform interviews, however, I think that notifications pretty much come more or less at once. And while most schools for English do not perform interviews, such should be taken into consideration. Otherwise, I agree that admits get notified at different stages of the admit process. Adcoms often speak of "waves," "cycles," and "X meeting(s)."

You probably already know this, but WashU has a Dr. Gerald Early and Dr. William Maxwell who do New Media. This probably doesn't help at this point, and you seem pretty settled on California....

I made a deal with myself: wait with hope through tomorrow and then, if there is still no contact, it would be more than safe to assume that they had already contacted all their prospects. Congrats to all those who got interviews! For those who haven't heard anything yet, why not keep your fingers crossed?

The results search shows one person as having been contacted by Emory for interview weekend. Has anyone else heard anything? Is it safe to assume that all the interview offers have been sent out?
