What do you want to do with your degree once you graduate? Go on to get a PhD, if so where? Local, State, or Federal gov't, doing what and where? It seems as though most people on here are going to fancy ivy league schools the rest of the population can only dream about. I had to look up what most of the acronyms stood for. That should be another thread in its own.. Me, I want to be a town manager of a small to medium sized area in the mountains or the coast.

Is of has anyone run Windows off their Mac using boot camp or parallel? How was it?

Anyone completed the MPA at UNC Pembroke? It's part of the UNC School system like Chapel Hill at a fraction of the cost. Looking for thoughts.

I'm in an online MPA program, is anyone else doing this and if so how do you stay motivated? I enjoy the program but sometimes wish I was in a brick and mortar.

I'm in local govt and have been for almost 4 years. I just started my MPA, like first semester just started. You can't be a Finance Director, Assistant Finance Director, Town/County/City manager, Emergency MGMT Director, etc without an MPA or similar degree. I agree that I wouldn't go into a ton of debit to receive my degree but it's totally worth getting in my opinion. Especially is you want to make a solid salary.
