Hey, coincidence, I used to study maths and philosophy at Oxford, but I switched as i found it too tricky... I graduated from another Oxford philosophy joint school, and I’m also really into Wittgenstein. Also our GREs are very similar and we applied to most of the same places!

Are you applying to anywhere other than Oxford? And what areas of philosophy do you want to specialize in? Oxford seems to have people working in pretty much everything, which is cool.
You probably won’t get funding, but if your recommendations and writing sample are good enough, you stand a chance of getting in. Ask your recommenders to mention the extenuating circumstances, rather than explaining them yourself. Good luck!
