how long does it usually take the department to send out offers after interview weekends?

When is BGSU visit weekend? Some people seem to have got invited

Any advise on how to word an e-mail to POI or the department to ask about the status of my application since I haven't heard back from my top two on the list?!

Hey guys, I saw a similar thread for a previous cycle and thought it could be helpful to those being on the wait list to know if one of the fortunate candidates have decided to turn down an offer. It could help give hope to some people since we know its a tough time.

Ohio University had two visitation days January 26th and February 9th, I went on the 26th and they said they will be sending out offers soon after the second visitation day. Haven't heard from any of the other schools yet.

Is it over the top to send a thank you after the interview day or will it be something that positively impact my chances? Any suggestions for content?

Congratulations to the person who got accepted to Bowling Green. I didn't hear about a visitation weekend or anything. Must've really impressed them

But do they give any impressions on how likely they are going to send out an offer to you for example?!

How far long do we have to wait for an admission decision after the interview day? Do they wait to interview everybody or do they send out offers to whoever impresses them first?!

Just received my first official rejection this cycle from Wayne State. They said they reached the capacity of the program for this time! Congratulations to the folks who got and accepted the offers from there and best of luck to everyone!

I have been trying to familiarize myself with their recent work and reading their papers (especially ones that I feel matches my interest), but it's overwhelming. It's a lot of information to digest and sometimes I really lose track because I know for sure i can't know or memorize everything! I guess I'm wondering what do they expect of me? For sure they know I won't know everything about their work or be able to discuss it with them. How much will the interview be focused on research topics!

Hi all, I got my first and only interview invitation for next week. I'm nervous about what to expect and how technical might the discussion go. I'm certainly interested in the work of my POI but I'm not well versed in his works and definitely unable to carry out a lengthy discussion over it. I'm anxious that I will lose my chance because I'm unable to show that I'm interested through talking enough or showing that I know something. HELP!

I've received a formal invitation for an interview weekend thing which is a great news because I didn't see myself doing any good this cycle. My POI then sent me a personal email basically congratulating me for reaching this point and asking if i had any questions or inquiries prior to the scheduled interview weekend. Should my reply be simple and not overdo it by trying to ask smart ass questions? I guess I'm nervous I don't want to mess up my chances *fingers crossed*
