  1. Looks like Pitt acceptances were sent out, I heard nothing. So that's an official rejection from UCLA, and a likely rejection from Northwestern and Pitt. Not holding out much hope for Cornell, given I considered it the long shot of the four. I might return in a month or so, message some of you to see if you might share SOP and things like that, get an idea of how to improve my application for next cycle. I know the impulse is to say not to lose hope yet, but I'm a realist. I can see from the profile of acceptances that my GRE was obvious weaker than I had anticipated, and there may be other parts of my application that needed work as well. I see no reason to pin my hopes on the idea of a long shot application beating out strong applications in a highly competitive process. Needless to say I will be much better informed and prepared come fall for the next cycle. I congratulate you all who got accepted, you earned it. Best of luck to everybody still trying.
  2. Similar boat, could really afford even the ones I did apply to (still paying those bills off). Going to put some money aside for next cycle as well as the absurd cost for testing. 160/153/4.5 was a weak score but I just couldn't afford the ridiculous cost to take the test another time or two. Expecting the worst, hoping for the best.
  3. Let me know if you hear anything, that's one of the two I'm still waiting on along with Cornell.
  4. They even staggering rejections now. The nerve of these people.
  5. Yeah I mean if that's the case I would just err on the side of rejection and consider from the long list of acceptances you already have.
  6. Maybe they got you on some waitlist then? Seems possible. Seems like most of the generic rejections went out last night/this morning. Still, I would say not to get your hopes up just because either way, you're not in their bulk of acceptances- you're not their first choice. If you already have other offers in the same area ranking wise, that's something to keep in mind.
  7. https://appstatus.grad.ucla.edu/account/AppStatus.aspx Nothing there for you yet?
  8. Officially rejected from UCLA. I knew it was coming when the personalized emails went out a few days ago though so at this point I had already shrugged it off. Waiting for my Northwestern rejection still. Pittsburgh should be out any day now. Cornell is still a week or two away, but I don't have high hopes for that. Live and learn for the next cycle. Gives me time to save some money up so I can take the test more than once/apply to a couple more programs next time around.
  9. Considering I've heard nothing from two that already released (Northwestern and UCLA) my prospects are cut in half. Feeling like I might just disconnect myself from the internet for a couple weeks.
  10. Pretty bummed out about UCLA right now. But them the breaks, such is life.
  11. Hm, did they post up the results on gradcafe? I just ask because I noticed the three posted were all American/methods.
  12. I want to say congrats, but more than that, I want to say: go charge your phone.
  13. Yeah, looking like the UCLA ones are coming out/have come out.
  14. Ah I see, congrats to them! No word for me, which definitely sucks.
