Hey Aby, thanks you and best the luck of you too! Do you mean you went to Cal Arts for undergrad? If so – what do you think are the pros/cons of CalArts? I'm unsure if I'll like suburbia all that well, unsure about Valencia mostly. (Especially since I can't drive!) This does not necessarily mean the GD invites have been sent, but for its worth my invite implies the School of Art conducts interviews on the same day, including Art, GD, Photo, etc.

Yeah I was thinking about it but then even if I got in, would I have to take sculpture classes and how well would the faculty be versed in the stuff I'm interested? The rep of Yale didnt seem to justify the risk of having an ill-fitting major imo.

I would love to apply to Yale if they had my major. Baffles me why they don't have any new media as "Area of Study"

Probably not a healthy contest but I think I win this one. I submitted my app to RISD with 40 seconds to spare. If my credit card got declined I would've got boned lol.

I hope to believe that as well, but checking in the results database for last year, there were people who got interview notifications on 1/31 and 2/1 for art&tech (my program) Plus apparently somebody got an interview for experiential animation yesterday. So... :(((

I think most interviews take place in mid to late Feb. That implies you are notified of the interview late Jan to early Feb.

I second @let me in. Got a performance art SAIC phone call to set up an interview , yesterday as well. The 17th too. Anybody heard from SAIC's Art &Tech Dept? Applied to both but only heard from performance.
