i interviewed at two departments at saic, and both seemed pretty long. Maybe i rambled too much but i think one was 25 min another 30 min?? This includes my questions and their answers of course. What were your impressions? I felt good about one and so-so about the other

Damn I just got off an interview with RISD. I totally feel you now. So nervous, felt i did pretty shit. Their interview was only 10 minutes long so I felt super rushed and probably came off cold and antagnostic Afterwards, I thought of many ways to answer better for pretty much all of the questions. Fkkkkkkkk me

Well, anything we could offer would be anecdotal You probably need someone in the admissions office hard crunching numbers for this – plus you must control for other variables associated with a Skype interview, for example rates of Skype interview are noticeably higher in international students for obvious reasons. Different acceptance rates might be due to international status or linguistic unfamiliarity. Basically no one knows definitively on a general level. If you want to get a feel, its better to read the website or call up the dept or admissions office on their view. They might not commit to a definite answer, but usually you can tell if it makes a difference or not. Stuff like, "Strongly recommended, highly encouraged" are a good indicator it does make a material difference

Hey I have an interview from Art & Tech, they didn't say to explicitly say to prep for the interview but from the emails it is suggested it is a critical component; so prep is definitively expected. They don't require you to bring artwork because possibly they have all of it in SlideRoom, but where did you get the impression should don't need to prepare for the interview? That confuses me – unless they are already set on giving you an offer. If that, congrats!

Ever since I put my email on my portfolio website I have been indundated with spam emails. Everything from hookups, big dick pills, loans, to You Won the Lottery!!!! The worse part is I'm afraid legit emails were sent to spam so I have to check each email manually, frustrating to no end!

Hey I applied for the same program! Yeah figures, on their dept website they say they only start reviewing apps from early Feb, plus their relatively late app deadline.... Zzz honestly I expect UCLA dma to be one of the last to get back to us

For my program they notifed on Feb 2nd 3rd last year. Then I read someone got notified on Feb 25th the year before. Seriously hope last year was an anamoly, somewhat reassured no one has heard anything either. Given their deadline, they sure are slow AF

Let you all know if hear anything from Columbia New Genres, now painting is out, the wait is killing me! Soooo anxious about Monday. I have a hunch next week will have many schools notifying.... : /
