Wanted to add the University of New Mexico to the list of funded MAs or programs where MA students are eligible for funding. UNM is working really hard to turn their MA program into a sending program towards good Ph.D. programs. Cost of living in Albuquerque is cheap and tuition is overall pretty low too if you aren't offered funding. I'm graduating this semester and headed to Brown or Michigan and have a couple of colleagues who are in similar positions. The department is especially strong in US West, Latin America, and the Middle Ages.

Haha! Probably Brown just because of that gif! So I have campus visits this week at Brown then Michigan and then I'll make up my mind. Leaning towards Brown though.

Got the Notre Dame email today saying I was one of the strongest candidates but ultimately not the right fit. Stings a little but I'll make it.

@ltr317 No worries. Not a great fit at all so it was pretty much expected but I had a waived app fee so I applied It was one sentence: "Unfortunately your application into Ph.D. in History has been denied."

I checked my portal at JHU and had the shortest rejection ever.

I was accepted this morning too! Pretty happy with it.

I got a late night acceptance from Santa Barbara last night and it looks like the UC schools sent out a few last night.

I think it went okay. Not great not bad. I don’t think I was able to present myself super well and the speed of the questions kinda through me off.

@parens_scientiarum I had my interview last week. It was a super short amount of time so they come at you really fast trying to see if you know your stuff and will fit in the program.

Hey @TheLearnedPig , I got the details yesterday afternoon. Mine is Wednesday morning. They have to coordinate a time that works with the group of profs you'd be working with most closely so I'm sure you'll hear something Monday or Tuesday, if not this weekend.
