I just got an interview for UConn's Physiology and Neurobiology program!

Anything from Mich, Sinai, or UNC?

Not a word today. Hopefully by the end of the week...

I'm torn. I do think that it's early to be receiving notice, but I'm also nervous since certain programs have already started to contact applicants. I applied to UMich PIBS/Neuro, UNC BBSP/Neuro, Emory Neuro, UMinn NGP, Mount Sinai BMS/Neuro (I currently work here), and UConn P&N. Also considering Temple (their app is due in Feb.) We got this- no matter what happens! ❤️

Applied Neuro through BBSP- still no word. What's BINP?

Still haven't heard from anyone... ? Also weird: my UMich PIBS/Neuro app imported my materials late? My letters were submitted before 11/30, and they were "uploaded" on 12/1. My last rec was sent in on the 1st (late, I know- this recommender is the Vice Dean of my college and had his hands full), but it says it was uploaded on the 2nd? I'm wondering if my app will be cancelled because of that? I didn't get a rejection, and UMich processed all of my materials (according to their emails). Should I be freaking out?

Anyone hear from UMich PIBS?

I think that UNC BBSP only sent out invites for the priority applications. I applied on the final deadline (11/30 - 12/1) and still haven't heard anything...

I submitted to UNC on the 30th (missed the priority) and still haven't heard back yet! And you're right- it's weirdly dead on here this year.

The requirements may be looser this year because of the pandemic. I was able to order an electronic copy of my official transcript from my undergraduate institution, and I uploaded the pdf to each application. I may have attached my unofficial transcript for only one school.

Yeah: I've been on this thread for years, and it's especially dead this year. Checking my application portals every day, haha. I didn't bother applying to the UC's.

Treat them however you'd like- they won't affect your admission. Be courteous, respectful, and engaged.

But is the Molec / Neuro /etc. program thru A&S, or is it thru the med school? Perhaps it's both?

I actually started the Neuro thread from last Spring, didn't end up applying for the 2020 cycle (needed more Neuro experience). Currently in a systems & circuits lab, but will be applying to umbrella biology / mcb / biochem programs / to labs that focus on neurobiology / neuroendocrinology.
