That’s an interesting background. I don’t see why you would be declined unless they are very specific about you having a health science related or computer science degree. Can’t say I know anything about uOttawa. Sorry about that.

@vvb096 Have you tried calling Iris directly? They shouldn’t drag it out this much and should let you know what the outcome is. Just curious, are you from the UK? What’s your academic/professional background?

@ignito @Euca I think it probably means they’ve sent it to the graduate office cuz I’ve heard you either have to accept or decline the final offer through the portal.

Make sure to check your junk mail as well. That’s where my invite was.

Thanks! Congrats to you too! Nah, I didn’t get an interview from U of T. Kinda expected it since Zoe said they don’t really consider international students unless they are exceptional or there’s any space left after accepting the home students which is fair. Best of luck for your interview!

I’m a pharmacist by profession and I have a professional masters degree for it since I qualified in the UK. It works differently in Canada however.

I submitted mine in November.

I had my interview over Skype as well. They are mostly questions they’d ask at a job interview. They’ll ask you to describe a certain scenario where you think you’ve showcased a skill eg. problem solving. So just think back to your work environment or from school and keep a few good examples ready. I think if you’re doing the interview locally you might have an extra written exercise judging from past years’ threads. I think mine went alright. It’s fairly relaxed so just keep cool and you’ll get through it in no time. Best of luck!
