  1. Georgetown is a complete disappointment for me. They didn't announce admission decisions yet and their staff is not responsive to emails. But I still love this school :/
  2. You're welcome, I hope you the best!
  3. Thank you @MrsPhD , you are right on that point. @CPRel you should be aware that these companies generally ask for security clearance and it is highly unlikely you will have it as an international student. However, I know that the program has strong links with the intelligence community, so they might help you to connect with the intelligence think-tanks, institutions, centers etc.
  4. Hi, Depending on your expectations/spending habits, I think 20k is an OK funding for Orlando. In general, I would say that Orlando is not an expensive city. You will have a stipend around $1600 per month and you pay $1000 for rent(1 bedroom apartment)+ bills and try to make your living with the rest of money. I know some married international students with the same amount of funding and they are able to continue. Of course, you try to live on bare minimum but it is what the graduate life is about. I know people from the Security Studies program and they are generally happy about it. Of course the program is neither good ranked nor reputable but they say that the faculty is pretty good and the student/faculty ratio is very low. They say that the faculty cares about the students. Also, Orlando is home to many intelligence/military related companies(e.g. Lockheed martin) if it is your thing. In summary, my perception of UCF is positive and I would suggest you go there if it is your best choice.
  5. I know it is around 20k with summer funding.
  6. Definitely, I will reject the offers from other schools as soon as possible once I decided. I am on a waitlist in other schools so I know how it feels If we all act as responsible human beings no one will be stressed out
  7. Well, I am originally an international student but I am in an MA program in the U.S. So, that might be the reason they invited me to the event. Yes, they help me with the expenses.
  8. Hi, I was interviewed two weeks after the application deadline. A week later, I was informed that I am offered admission. I will attend the prospective student event. I think they hold the prospective student event at an early date because they want to give more time to the student who will be offered admission if the students in the first cycle reject their offers. Hope you will make it!
  9. Hi Guys, I have been following the group for a while and I felt the responsibility that I should also contribute to the forum. I have been offered admission from Penn State and Binghamton(SUNY) and rejected from countless universities. Feel free to send your questions. I came with a couple of questions. 1-Did anyone hear from Georgetown yet? 2-Did anyone waitlisted at Notre Dame? Do you know when is Notre Dame's prospective student event? I have been waitlisted but they didn't tell me anything about the chance of being offered admission.
