It’s probably putting packages together, updating the awardee page before publishing, and double checking everything is in correct order. I’d rather things be correct and take longer but it’s TORTURE

“We are aiming for today, if not, then tomorrow.” That is the answer I got about the result time.

No idea. I'd assume so but Boren's communication is near radio static. They haven't released any news in nearly a month.

If we get an email today, I'd shoot for a time frame of 1pm-3pm. Right now they are probably about to take an hour for lunch lol. They might have spent the morning organizing stuff to send out and will then email afterward. Or I'm wrong lol

I don't think we will get physical mail until 2-3 days after emails come in.

I kept waking up and falling asleep and had a dream that everyone but me got the award. I had to check and re-check my email and this forum.

I'm just nervous, if I don't get this it means I'm getting loans and going to work 2 full time jobs until I leave---which is something I'm trying to avoid (for burn out sake).

Me! I'm kind of concerned, end of day can mean anytime before 5 and idk if my heart can handle that.

I would if I wasn't in class lol. I know it's only 2 minutes past, but nothing yet.

That is if they even come out today....we are going blind on this estimate based on last year. If we are right then t-minus 30 minutes until I self-destruct.

No matter the results I’m still going forward with my goals (just knowing I can afford things helps, ya know?) Anyways I don’t think I can sleep tonight because of nerves ?

Perhaps....either way they are slowly killing me. I’m also having stress dreams (not exactly nightmares), even though I’m mentally preparing myself. if we don’t actually get it tomorrow I will scream. This is worse than when I was waiting to hear about my acceptance into my program abroad. They said “yoi’lll here by 3pm on x day” and it was 5 and I heard nothing (luckily I got in.) Strangely, I’m super stressed but also still optimistic. I’m gonna go watch a quiet place and chill.

I hope so, my mailing address is closer to DC but also not my school address lol, and my mom has a bad habit of opening my mail. I just really want to get this wait over with. They haven’t updated any social platforms.

Do you guys think they’ll send the emails out in rounds? Like accepted, then waitlist, then rejected?

I’m pretty sure everyone gets an email, but only finalists get an actual physical letter. I could be wrong, though.

It seems like those who applied for fellowships are getting more involvement with budget emails. We learn next week (yikes), best of luck to you all!!!

I'm 99% at this point I'm not getting it so I've prepared a "Thank you so much for helping me, but it seems it was a really tough competition this year and I, unfortunately, didn't receive the award. I greatly appreciate you taking your time to write a recommendation for me, and although I didn't get the award I am sure to make the most out of my study abroad experience." Something along those lines For my other letter writer I'm good friends with that teacher so I'll just tell them "it sucks but I didn't get it. Oh well, Japan will be fun--see you in the summer there." Since he lives outside Tokyo in the summer with his wife.

Gyaaaaahhhhh it's so close and everything is stressful. These months are flying by, I can't believe how much I still have left to do but also my program is approaching so quickly.
