Gosh! Waiting becomes unbearable 

Still no news for Russia as well. I hope they will update the status next week for sure 

Sorry to hear about the rejection.

In the meantime, no new info here and it's the end of the work day. With the Easter right around the corner, I guess I'll see you guys on Tuesday and I'm keeping my fingers crossed for everybody!

I'm applying from the US

Yeah of course always be positive! Apart from this horrible waiting period, when I went to the interview in january they told me that the phd would start in october as well, but in the webpage of the phd position was mentioned April as the starting month, because there is the german languange course prior to the beginning of the scholarship. Now, I got that a lot of people are applying from all over the world, but for f**** sake, be clear on dates. How am I supposed to organize trips and stuff if I don't have at least a couple of weeks to prepare? Idk

At the time of interview, I was told that result would be declared by mid march but yes off course they didn't mention the year.

heyyy no negative thoughts. Not everything is about school and GPA. I heard that sometimes they just read your app and see that spark in you. My school's DAAD "advisor" said that the personal statement is really the make or break.... may I ask what your intended school in Germany is? and intended major?

And so, another week with no news... This whole thing is getting boring. 

Can someone give them a call and ask? I called them so many times I think they recognize my voice now 

Any idea how long the delay will be? Days, weeks, months?!  

US Applicant for "Research Grants for Doctoral Candidates" - have not heard anything either. I gave the NY office a call last week, they also told me that there has been a delay due the extraordinary number of applications this year. 

I have asked DAAD India and they replied to me that "The results will be declared in the 1st week of April. You will get an email through the portal. There have been certain unforeseen delays".
I have never realized before that the pressure of waiting for result can be this worse. I am trying to stay positive. The best of luck to all those waiting for their results.

Dates only change when you did not enter a one year period at the time of application. for example i entered the whole period for phd (3 years) and they changed it to one year, so if you already entered one year, they wont change it. and in my case they asked me if i want to participate in language training
and also concerning status / dates changes.. there seems to be no "frame" which they follow. they always seem to do something different with all applicants.
