I applied to a PhD scholarship in the Sustainability Institute of Newcastle University, UK. My application is still under review. It is already 4.5 months past the application deadline. I have been following up with the PG admissions department for more than 2.5 months now without any luck. It has been very very frustrating !! Anybody out there who has heard back for any of the scholarships in Newcastle? Is anyone facing similar issues or it's just me !!

Has anyone heard back results for any type of funded phd positions of Newcastle University, UK? My application deadline was late Jan 2018 and I am still receiving emails that my application is under review. Is it normal that the process is taking so long?

Has anyone heard back regarding their applications for the 'Sir James Knott Fellowship' in Newcastle University, UK yet? Any idea how long it takes for decisions to be made on funded PhD project applications?

I have applied for 2 PhD projects (that might qualify for a scholarship) in Newcastle University, UK in the last week of Jan. I am receiving emails from the admissions department assuring me that my application is still under review. It has been 8 weeks since the application and I am jumping up at every new mail I receive (it is really hard waiting for the decision on my application!). Should I email the concerned professor asking for an update? If yes, how should I word it? Thanks for your suggestions in advance.
