So the cmu admit is from pittsburgh and not silicon valley. Project trainee can be in on of the labs inside college as i would not have a one year work permit. Internship is generally in a company ( which usually comes during the summers after a year). in CMU I will miss the first summer and i will graduate before the next summer, i thought it would be a disadvantage.
Ms isn't just classes. So basically over the first winter, one can join as a project trainee in one of the labs. So i wanted to know how good the research is. In cmu however, as i would be going in spring , i can go for an intern only after i finish my course. That's why i was super confused
I have gotten an admit for spring in CMU and for Fall in UCSD in electrical engineering department. i want to specialise in signal and image processing for biomedical applications. considering the fact i wouldn't be able to intern in cmu and its way costlier, can someone tell me which is a better school for research and job opportunities?
