Hello and Happy New Year! Just spoke with my adviser and she mentioned that CLS applicants should be hearing back about whether or not they passed the first round sometime this month...for the Boren last year someone on here had found a timetable/compilation of dates that applicants had heard back in years past. Does anyone have access to anything like that? Applying for Beginner Korean here, no formal Korean experience. All the best everyone!

I would THINK so...it might be a bit different with an award like the Truman, but I know that if you're a finalist for it and still not chosen it's essentially equivalent to winning and very much resume worthy...

I'm looking at the spreadsheet and noticed a lot of scholarship applicants applied for a full academic year and I'm kind of wishing I had...

ME TOO. ALL MORNING. I feel your pain. I keep trying to think back to the earlier post from persona_in_foro and they're right, 100%. Our lives will go on and there are loads of other opportunities...I just feel like my life has stopped while waiting for this. I haven't been making other plans really, it kinda put everything else on hold...

From like 5/6 AM on this morning I kept having dreams about getting emails...I just want to be done with this.

Has anyone else been having nightmares? My waking dreams have just involved me checking my email and the IIE insulting me about my application...I'd then wake up in a cold sweat to actually check my email...it's bad.

So I just found this forum and wish I'd looked for something like this earlier! I'm an undergrad French/Wolof AFLI applicant...received the budget confirmation email yesterday and sent that in this morning... Anyone else applying for Senegal? All the best!
