You can ask your Graduate Coordinator to do it on your programs/departments behalf? I emailed mine today, and she responded that she normally hears from students before anyone else, but I really don't think this is consistent (from what I've seen in the past).
It's possible that you are referring to both MA CGS's and Vanier results since they are already sent out. I wouldn't be surprised if applicants start hearing tomorrow from their institutions as in the past, the institutions might have them before the letters actually end up at your door, but who knows really.
Have people heard today? It looks like they won't mail the official letters out until tomorrow. It's possible that students are hearing from their institutions because they often get it a day before or the day letters are sent out.
As I wrote previously, students who haven't even been sent to the doctoral SSHRC competition from their institutions still have access to the Michael Smith supplement, so it is definitely not attached to any form of results.
So I've had access to this application since April 9th, the day official applications for the travel fund are available, so I asked my colleague who didn't get passed on to SSHRC to check if they had access and they did. So it is definitely not a loophole. Anyone, whether you are sent to the national competition or not, has access to the application. So I suggest keeping yourself busy and waiting patiently, even though I know it's tough! XX
