So, I finally got my offer last week! Turns out they had actually made an offer in March, but misstyped my e-mail address... which I at first found dubious, but they showed me a copy of the original offer letter, complete with a character missing from the e-mail addressee line. Oh, well! Got a merit offer and a fellowship that come out to about 50% tuition the first year and a bit more the second, and the program seems like a great fit, so I decided to accept. To anyone who thinks they should have received funding, but didn't, it doesn't hurt to call or e-mail, even at the last minute! You never know if someone didn't make a tiny error like in my case. I'm definitely glad I followed up, as they might have otherwise had no idea they made such an error. Hope to meet some of you soon! Good luck!

Congrats! I, too, got accepted on the fifteenth. I called about fellowships and/or merit aid earlier today and they said they would shoot me an e-mail soon about whether or not I was considered. I had one recommender who didn't submit late, but nearly did (on or the day before the due date, I think), so I'm a bit nervous about that... plus I didn't receive a notification that IU had received all of my materials until the 1st of March, which I found strange since everything had been turned in weeks prior. Anyway, the representative I spoke to on the phone said that merit aid and fellowship decisions are still being discussed and awarded, so there's hope yet!

Like many other SIPA applicants, I would also like to know the "terrible things" you've heard about them.

I don't know what a Top Prospects event is, but maybe it was a thing I didn't pay attention to because I live overseas. I just got a merit offer for about 2/3 tuition, so I hope they'll be rolling out some good news for y'all soon!
