Hi! Just to let you know that I received my letter early today. Good luck to all of you.

One year ago today somebody posted in one of these forums that the status on the WB page had changed to "every winner has been contacted". and I just checked the website and it doesnt have any announcement yet, so yeas, fingers crossed!! Best of luck to everyone here, its my second year applying and not know anything for the second year in a row would SUCK.

They contact me through email asking for any document that would prove the financial aid offered by other sources. This had a deadline of the 10th. I applied last year unsuccesfully and they never reached out for anything. Im hoping this request was a good signd, although they specifically said that it meant nothing but a request to finalize the review of my file and not a decision of any kind. Hope this helps

Anyone applying for the preferred programs and not the partner programs? any update?

Hi! I dont see a thread for this year's application yet. Is anyone here also applying for the JJ/WBGSP for preferred programs? We should share if we receive any sort of communication from the WB. Lets keep eachother informed!

Has anybody here been accepted? They were supposed to release the information early july and that has been posted in june. Its weird nobody here knows anything...

Haven't received any email either ... And yes, the status on the websited has changed to this: JJ/WBGSP: The 2018 call for scholarship applications is now closed. All developing country applicants and all Japanese nationals applicants who have been awarded 2018 scholarships to preferred programs have been notified. I agree... seems we didn't make it. Best luck to all on your future plans.

Hi! I dont see a forum for this year's application yet. Is anyone here also applying for the JJ/WBGSP for preferred programs too? have you recieved any communication from the WB? I know its early for decisions but we should keep eachother informed! I havent heard anything from them YET!
