Rejected from Tulane

Yeah exactly. There’s nothing worse than false hope. Think I’ll just do myself a favor and expect to be rejected from everywhere and be pleasantly surprised if not haha

still havent heard anything from Tulane, you think they send rejections all at once or in waves? and havent gotten official rejection from michigan yet either and nothing from UO and im locked out of the portal because i forgot my password and tried too many times HA

I emailed whatever emails I had from the schools before who I assume to be whoever is in charge of graduate communications. I haven’t heard from U Oregon or Tulane at all from the emails I sent. Though I’m accepting that this year may not be happening.

If anyone is waiting to hear from uMich I reached out the other day and got this messsage today. A bummer but unfortunately expected because I didn’t have an interview.

Has anyone here been asked to interview with U Michigan? I havent heard anything from them and i just re read an email that stated that interview invites would be out mid Feb and rejections would be out late Feb early March. Really wanting to know if theyre behind because of the weather of whatever or if I should be expecting a rejection.

I honestly am trying not to be resentful and bitter but, my life is being put on complete hold because of this and that absolutely infuriates me ? but im just trying to stay positive. Thankfully my fiance is So supportive, definitely couldnt do it without her. Im glad you have support on your end too! ?

@Rin_go same here just nothing, except one rejection so far. @Pallavi.Daga thank you ? it’s frustrating because she has to wait too for anything so neither of us know what the hell is going on. I just want to know so I can move on accordingly! I guess the one thing that I’m hopeful about is none of the schools I applied to are heavily mentioned on this forum. One person mentioned U Mich a while back and I know @MjamesPDX is waiting on U of O with me but other than that nothing! So guess that makes me feel a bit better ??‍♀️

Is anyone else in the same boat of radio silence? Feeling like I should start thinking of backup plans and looking for schools my fiancé ( I recently proposed ?) could attend instead of waiting to see where I might end up? Ugh, the waiting sucks because she’s been such a sport about everything but she really wants to keep studying and I don’t want to hinder her. She’s moving to the states with me regardless it’s just frustrating for everything to be up in the air. ?

Thank you I’ve calmed down a little. I know he has the letter as he has submitted it to all of my other schools. I just wonder if maybe it got buried in his inbox or spam folder. He typically gets back to me in a timely manner so hopefully I’ll hear from him today. I really hope they still consider me when it gets submitted (if) ? I’m just trying to send positive vibes and hopefully manifest that shit hah

I just realized one of my letters to Tulane still hasnt been submitted. Its two weeks passed the deadline and Im freaking out. I emailed the professor and Tulane and sent him two more email reminders from tulanes app portal. any one have any idea if im totally screwed?

Well fuck that makes me feel like another rejection is coming. My mailbox has been dead quiet aside from the UCI rejection. I really like UMich too and thought I’d fit into their program really well. That’s a huge bummer.

Yeah it is. I actually was going to apply to UC Davis instead but Irvine had a fee waiver and Davis didn’t so I went with Irvine. I definitely couldn’t spend the 105 Davis wanted. So it wasn’t one of the programs I thoroughly wanted to get into but it’s my first rejection / anything at all from any school.

I Recieved a similar email today. I clicked the link and logged in and then clicked the orange link that says my application was updated and that link brought me to a big old rejection letter ??‍♀️ Just straight and to the point.

I received a second email about financial aid at UC Irvine but still havent heard anything at all from any other schools or anything else from Irvine.

mine says the same thing! i emailed them but havent heard anything back. every day i get a little less anxious and a little more annoyed about not hearing anything from any of the five schools i applied to -__- oh well what can you do...

I didn’t want to get too excited but, like, they couldn’t possibly do this for every applicant right? Why would they waste their time generating one for everyone? Then again this is my first time applying so I really don’t know the protocol. But I’m sending good energy into this haha MANIFEST THAT SHIT.

Yeah I still have no huge feelings either way on acceptance or rejection. Though almost all of their interview questions I touched on in my application and I noted a couple of faculty members from the neuropsychology department as researchers I would like to observe and learn from. I love UM because of their focus on research and its very true to my work currently in psychology and gender. So admittedly I do feel a little better about my fit in their program and them recognizing that through those prompts they gave you. Hopefully Im not totally misreading them. haha I still feel okay.

So did you interview for Michigan yet? They are one of my top schools because of their focus on research, I still haven’t heard anything though. I did apply as an interdisciplinary artist with no specific focus.
