I applied there as well and haven’t heard anything. Though they did spend about 20 minutes on my website yesterday. Not really trying to put too much stock in analytics though, it hasn’t done me any good so far haha

I grew up in Lexington and it’s incredible. The weather is really unpredictable lol but it’s great. Keeneland is amazing during spring and fall meets and obviously the basketball team! I definitely recommend attending if you get the chance, you won’t regret it the Art department moves into a new building my senior year and it’s really amazing and well equipped.

Who interviewed you from UK?? That’s my alma mater!! Love them. It’s a great program.

Also, to people who have gotten interview invites or have done interviews, what do they ask you to bring in terms of art or pictures of anything? I´ve never been through this process so I just want to prepare for anything and everything.

I just saw someone on another forum say they got a shortlist and interview from UCSB last week. Has anyone else heard from them? I haven’t heard anything from any of my schools and I’m losing my mind over here...

Hey just a heads up for anyone that applied to UMichigan, I contacted all of my schools to ask that they only contact me via email because my US number is not in service in Spain and someone from UMich said that they never contact by phone. Only Email. So dont worry about not getting a call just look at your email.

I’m living and teaching in Spain until August so the only interviews I will be able to do will be via Skype. I honestly do not think that it matters wether you are there in person or not. If you make an impact and have a successful interview it shouldn’t matter. Obviously I feel incredibly apprehensive about network issues but I’m going to go the extra mile to ensure I have an Ethernet connection and everything is in perfect working order. At the end of the day I know it’s about who I am not where I am. I feel confident in any platform and honestly almost more so via Skype because I have the comfort of my own home (sans pants?) just be your awesome self and I’m sure they will see it no matter what!

I just got an email from Michigan saying that interviews will be taking place mid February so I assume we will be getting invitations in a couple of weeks?

I just emailed each admissions dept of the schools asking to specifically be notified by email so I can make sure I receive anything

Im reading through last years forum to lurk and see when people were getting calls and interview invites and it seems like a lot will be coming this week and next. So im losing my damn mind. ALSO got my first Louisiana hit yesterday in New Orleans (Tulane) they spent less than like 3 mins on my website...so idk if thats bad orrrrrr. ALSO has anyone researched what the interviews are going to be like? They say they want to see work but I dont have any with me here and some of it is even sold so ugh SOS

They only let you provide a US number for the schools I applied to... I do have my SIM card it just costs a fortune to use it, maybe ill turn it on intermittently and check my voicemails.

I’ve heard of people getting phone calls before emails, I’m living in Spain and my American number isn’t in service right now, does anyone think that’s a bad thing? I’m probably just being paranoid but Haha I can’t stand thinking that maybe a phone call could be missed and it would look bad?

I totally understand about the app fees. I could hardly come up with the money for my last two and had to borrow it from my girlfriends mom ? the others I was given fee waivers. You’ve probably already check about fee waivers but that’s how I was able to submit three of mine.
