  1. HUGE CONGRATS to all of you Michigan admits!!!! What a great thing to wake up to today! ❤️
  2. Interesting that we haven't heard anything from CUNY yet.
  3. Yep! All I'm waiting on at this point is my rejection from Columbia...
  4. Looks like Berkeley rejections are on the application portal page. Saw one on results and went to check mine, rejected, as I assumed.
  5. You got accepted to the MA without a finished app! That's kind of cool
  6. I think UCLA says this.
  7. Woah, what?! edit: Now that I look at this more closely, maybe it was an email from a POI? Would a generic rejection have detailed information about applicant pool and number of admissions?
  8. It has been such a quiet couple weeks. Sooooo ready for this to be over! The waiting kills me.
  9. Yep, just a person that you're interested in working with, that you may have spoken with or mentioned in your SOP.
  10. I wonder if the 30th was it for Columbia acceptances...in past years there have only been a few posted.
  11. As high_hopes said, it was $20/year for the domain name. I also agree that it's not necessary at this point in our careers. If you have a good reason for wanting to do it, go for it, but don't feel like you have to.
  12. Same. It was exciting and now it's just getting old. I'm looking forward to getting plans ready and figuring out where I'll be moving. Where else did you apply to?
  13. I have one! I really like it for when I'm doing research and asking people for interviews because I can offer my website as proof I'm not some weirdo. However, it doesn't get much traffic so otherwise it's not necessary. Maybe it will be in the future. My domain is my full legal name. PM me if you want me to link you!
  14. I had a couple emails about recruitment visit days go to my spam folder, so keep an eye on your spam!
  15. I'm wondering if they decided on it later in the process. You were accepted weeks before I was, if I remember correctly.
  16. My email from UCLA says $500 for out of state travel and $250 for in state travel and lodging at a current graduate student's house.
  17. Most if not all of the schools I got into offered to reimburse flights and provide lodging with a current graduate student. One (University of Washington) said they would "subsidize" travel.
  18. Nope! The only school I've gotten detailed funding information for is University of Washington.
  19. No. After poking around on the MyStatus site, I saw it says "Check back in two weeks" under the financial aid tab. The letters attached to the admission letter don't mention funding. Edit: also a professor I spoke with there last year told me funding is not great. PhDStipends.com has a few entries that seem okay.
  20. Same! It's actually been great for my inbox.
  21. Thought I'd be chill about this, but I am NOT feeling chill
  22. I may have shed a happy tear. Can't wait to hear about everyone's acceptances! This week will probably be a big one! ❤️
  23. Ahhhh it was me! The reason it came on a Sunday was because a POI I had previously spoken with at length emailed me (seemingly as soon as he found out). Got the official email from the department today.
  24. You NEVER know!!! It could happen!
  25. When I was obsessively checking current graduate students' undergraduate institutions (to see where mine might fit in), I saw quite a few people that went to the same school for undergrad and grad.
