Adriamycin

I'm looking to do research in cell biology, and trying to decide between my top two choices. Just looking for input on institutional prestige in the medical/biomedical fields - my sense is that Yale overall has greater name value but for medicine and related fields, Hopkins does a bit better. Any advice would be welcome!

What are the differences between molecular/cell biology PhD programs offered by medical schools and those offered by general graduate schools (e.g. "arts and sciences"), in term of research area, funding, prestige, etc? For example, Columbia has a molecular biology PhD in their main campus as part of the graduate school and a separate biomedical sciences PhD program at their med campus. Would there be any reason to prefer one over the other (considering non-ecology work)? Cheers!
