For sure. I feel like I'm mostly checking my analytics as something to do while I wait to get real news back! It's certainly not necessarily an indication that a school likes you because they looked at your website (and not a bad thing if you don't get hits from the areas your schools are in), but it's kind of fun to see cities you're looking for pop up.

Madison is one of my top choices too - best of luck to you too!!

I applied to UW Madison but haven't heard anything back yet. I did get an analytics hit from them last week. Both Madison and UT Austin had early deadlines and I'm getting antsy with those.

Same here! Though it looked to me like last year Madison and Northwestern (and Yale, and a few other schools) sent out initial rejections at the same time that they sent out their first interview requests, so that's helpful at least to know you're out of the running early on instead of waiting for months! Or being totally ghosted. There's definitely plenty to obsess about ?

Yes! I applied to a few schools in cities I haven't actually been to and would want to check out in person if I had a foot in the door...but definitely can't make 6 different trips to visit everywhere I applied! We'll see when the time comes. I finished my applications a week or so ago and am forgetting that some of them have due dates that haven't even passed yet, and so am definitely being obsessive about email a little early ?‍♀️ Good luck everybody!

Finally finished! It didn't feel real until all my recs were submitted!! Are any of you planning on traveling for interviews? Most of the schools I'm applying to seem to do it digitally but I'd also like to get to do some campus visits if I'm in the interview stage.

I've been wondering the same thing! Is it weird to note a secondary focus if you don't include any examples of work that are in the secondary medium?
