Hi everyone! Congratulations for everyone receiving results!
I'm wondering if students who have applied before have any information on what is included in the rankings. Do they just give you a ranked number compared to everyone else in your field, or do they provide any additional information (how many other applicants there were, how you scored on research vs grades vs extracurriculars, etc)?
Anyone else here from Psych? ? Most people in my program apply through SSHRC, but my research is focused on neural mechanisms, so my supervisor suggested I go through NSERC. I'm pretty nervous that my application won't look 'natural sciences' enough due to my background. I've had success with master's funding in the past, but this seems much harder to get.
Hello all!
I have a bit of a conundrum. I recently had a Skype interview with a POI and they told me that I would be contacted this past Friday about the interview weekend and whether I was invited (they specifically indicated that I should hear back regardless of whether the news was good or bad). However, it is now midday Monday and I haven't received a single email. Should I be following up and, if so, should I be following up with departmental admissions generally (as opposed to the POI)?
That's amazing! Congratulations! Do you happen to have a sense of whether they sent out all the psychology invites at once or whether there might be some coming?
You're so nervous during your first set of Skype interviews that when you're asked where you are you answer with "Oh, my den" instead of your geographical location. (At least they laughed?)
Hi everyone!
Does anyone know if Stanford is still sending out interview invites? I am specifically interested in non-clinical programs (developmental especially). I've already been contacted for interviews from other schools and am starting to get very nervous, haha.
