  1. Still waiting on McGill U! Literally, no rejection, no acceptance, no wait list... after a couple of emails was finally told this past Thursday that "Sorry no decision has been made yet, promise that we will let you know though as soon as the committee has made one" . Whoa baby!
  2. I commented on your profile, but didnt see this. I'm still waiting for econ.. i've been told that no rejection/no acceptance is actually not a bad place to be, (in the sense that many have already been rejected so you're still 'in the runnings'.. they send out top phd/masters offers, and after that they dip perhaps into w/e 'pool' you are in now.. have you been officially waitlisted or just no word at all? i was also advised that no word might even be better than waitlisted officially because it means they are still 'reviewing your application', more promising than the wl
  3. Yes, no news is good news I suppose. I emailed them a few days ago..never heard back. Too afraid to call for fear of "over the phone rejection" or just coming off impatient. Best of luck to us both :)

  4. no word from McGill yet, no news is good news? (well better than rejected I suppose..)

  5. I'm still waiting on McGill too! No word yet, but I was told no news is good news, well better news than a no or waitlist..

  6. I don't know anything about McGill's MA program. I applied to PhD and got acceptance in mid-March. I guess it is very different from department to department.

  7. Just curious who has heard back from McGill for the MA program (or QY for that matter...) ? I haven't heard back yet, do you think that's a good or bad sign? Hmm...
  8. So I'm from the States, and have applied to McGill's Econ program for graduate studies. I indicated that I was interested in the QY, which I think might increase my odds, but even still, it's a reach. I haven't heard back yet one way or the other, and it's April 12th... they said when I spoke to them a couple months ago they were aiming for "mid april"... Now, it seems like others that were rejected were done so end of March, while a lot of acceptance were around now. Is that over reading it, or should I take a glimmer of hope from that? Also, emailed the dept. over the weekend and heard nothing back today.. hmm... getting restless & need to get this visa app. moving. Would you say it's a positive sign i haven't heard back, neutral, or negative?
