  1. Thank you! Also, how does the actual dispursement of scholarship money happen?
  2. Thank you for responding! I actually had my interview 6/3 & it went just like that. How long did it take you to hear back? & in what form?
  3. This may be a long shot, but has anyone had any experience with the nyc doe scholarship? They pay for all your masters schooling & you work for them after grad school in return. I got an interview so wondering if anyone has gone through it. Thanks!
  4. I saw someone made it & joined! Here’s the link! https://www.facebook.com/groups/808943476147765/?ref=share
  5. Would eveyone want a faceboom group for all cohorts? I am in A!
  6. One question was about observation experience, so it was easy to talk about personal experience. The other was about research you’ve read. I did have an article I studied in case, but the observation was better to let the words flow. So, know abour your experiences & have much to say about it.
  7. I honestly did not stay in contact with anyone in my group afterwards. Where you in the 9am session that day?
  8. Hi there! I got to Post undergrad & got accepted to their grad program. The interview was one on one with the clinic director. It was pretty informal for me as I have prior experience with her, but the main big question she asks everyone is to describe an obersevation you had, the patient, their goals & how the therapist worked on the goals. So that one was very specific that she has asked everyone.
  9. It is actually illegal for graduate schools to pressure you to make a decision before April 15. This happened when NYU accepted me & gave me 2 weeks. I found out there is an April 15th law & saw NYU was on the list of schools that promises to abide by it. I emailed them & told them, they immediately gave me until April 15. I would say something to them.
  10. Mine are horrible & I got accepted lol Q 135 V 146 W 4.0
  11. Yes, I called his office number & he answered. I have an appointment with him tomorrow.
  12. Hey, the letter said to contact Kathy Riley on her email saying you paid the deposit. I have a my.liu account already, but not sure if they have to activate it. I’m waiting for a reply tomorrow & I’m hoping from there we can meet with the graduate advisor. I heard he’s amazing.
  13. Congrats to you too! When I had my interview with the clinic director Dr. Rubenstein, she explained it & then I spoke to some graduate students about it afterwards. So, I would definitely email her to ask to get the most information. That’s what I was thinking, cohort A. I just wanna jump into it as they ease you in. I probably will have some time!
  14. I got accepted to my undergrad school - LIU Post. I am wondering what cohort to choose; A or B. A starts clinic first semester, but it is pre-clinic; observing clients in clinic. Second semester is clinic, but they also ease you into it. Cohort B would be the same, just starting pre-clinic in semester 2. Does anyone have any advice? I feel like starting pre-clinic the first semester would be doable. I also think maybe cohort B would be good to work a little the first semester.
  15. NYU does rolling admissions & accepts for 3 semesters during the year.
