Rejected from Michigan as well, for the second year in a roll. It is one of my "reach" program after all

I think historically (at least according to the result board), they usually release there decision between first and second week of February. If that's the case, we should find out next week.

I wonder when would Michigan result drop, sometime early next week?

I didn't apply there this year but last year they did released their decision including rejections around the last week of Jan.

Just got accepted by UCLA Asian American Studies MA

Hi I remember you too! I have gotten an invitation to interview/admission event to UCI's global studies, haven't heard from any other programs yet!

May I ask what programs did you apply to?

Is anyone else applying to Global Studies / International Studies programs this cycle? I thought I'd start a thread. I applied to 2 Global Studies PhD at UCI and UCSB, just received invitation from the admission event / interview at UCI, haven't heard anything from UCSB yet although I do see people posting interviews already on the result board here so I probably did not made the cut. I'm also thinking about applying to the International Studies Program at Simon Fraser University, at least according to their website they seems to fully fund MA student (at least the tuition) and I do have a professor in the department I'm familiar with.

Speak of the devil, I was just rejected from NYU American Studies. No deferral admission to their scam MA either.

idk about the MA tho consider they are notoriously expensive and offer little to no funding. Consider you already had a PhD, I highly doubt its gonna increase your chance.

Huh I have not heard anything from NYU yet, although I was still not expecting anything due to not being interviewed earlier last month.

Yikes, guess I'll have to take an L on that one again.

Just talked to a current student USC, apparently all the acceptance should have gone out at this point. Kinda disappointed but GL for whoever got in.
