I just received a mail stating that I have been awarded ESOP for MSc in Computer Science. So I guess you guys can expect results today.

I got my ESOP interview before I got notified about acceptance. In the interview the professor told me I was accepted but I didn't get the acceptance email until later.

I just received a notification this morning that there is a letter from Zurich waiting for me at the post office. And I live in Europe, but I guess it can take longer if you live in a different continent. By the way, I received the acceptance email 1 week ago (March 4th).

I think even if you do not get the scholarships you can manage doing what you call "Assistantships" in ETH Depts. I heard there are many such opportunities. Refer this page (You can find more details towards the end of this page)

I think you can definitely plan some traveling in semester breaks. My friends that have been to EHT in Engineering have all traveled a lot during the first part of the summer break (end of May till the end of July), and then come back to study the last 2 weeks before exams in August.

If I may ask, just out of curiosity, what was your master's thesis proposal about? (Mine was about Visual SLAM).

That topic sounds interesting Mine was about a novel end-to-end neural network structure for detecting events in time-series data (such as EEG).

My documents along with the application were received by ETH one day before the deadline. I received a decision for CS via email yesterday, however, I had an ESOP interview 7 days ago where the professor told me I was accepted, even though my acceptance email did not arrive until now.

Last year, I was offered the MSP for CS  in mid-May, and I was not interviewed at all for that (Btw. I decided not to go that time).

Welp, this morning I got an interview invitation alright, asking if I am available today or tomorrow. Very sudden, but won't complain!

Congrats! I also had my ESOP interview this week for CS, and it was the same for me, they asked me if I was available the same day or the day after. But it was a very chilled and fun discussion, so no need to prepare really:)

I had an interview regarding my ESOP application this week, it went well, so hoping for the best :)
