Hey! I heard back today that I was accepted into the Laurier MSW Advanced Standing Part Time Online for January 2021. This was my fourth time applying.

My thought is they must have sent out only the one year MSW advanced standing and maybe they have not sent out the two year yet? My fingers are crossed for you!

My assumption would be its a generic email they send to everyone just to ensure. I also received the same feedback and I know everything they stated I had completed. Some may miss components of the application as a simple mistake.

Ah I'm sorry to hear. The part that frustrates me is I was waitlisted for January 2020 when I had minimal clinical experience (I was doing family counselling), and since then I received a clinical therapist job under the expectation I will get my masters within 5 years, and have done multiple trainings etc. I also didn't change my statement all that much.

I am also waiting to hear from Laurier online MSW Advanced standing. This will be my third time applying. First time - declined - I was fresh out of school so that was expected. Second time - Waitlisted - which did not end up moving due to the competitive nature of the program (they informed me that there were over 600 applications and I was 1 of 20 placed on the waitlist) Fingers crossed for everyone!

I applied for the 1 year MSW online at Laurier and I have not heard back yet. My thought is they will roll out all the in person 1 and 2 year programs then do online!
