  1. I literally have heard nothing and have had no response to my emails from The University of Georgia Counseling phd program since the interview on February 5th. Has anyone heard anything at all? Rejections, offers, emails from PI, snail mail etc?
  2. That’s interesting to know. Personally, that’s far from my area of interest so it’s not something I would consider but is really helpful for someone interested in child clinical psych!
  3. Program fit and POI research area is the most important thing. There are professors and labs in both counseling and clinical programs that will likely fit your needs. I will warn that getting into counseling programs is insanely competitive too and it’s more a matter of expanding your net of possibilities than these being “back ups” to clinical.
  4. I’m right there with you. It’s been radio silence. Only thing I can think of is that the department told them to not respond to any emails until decisions have been made
  5. Thanks friend. I love working with animals and have loved the farms I’ve worked on so if I ever finally have my full mental breakdown and leave society you know where I’ll be.
  6. I’m 28 but this process makes me feel like I’m turning 85. I’m hoping I’ll get into a program before I’m 50. Although, even if I did get in at 50 that would still give me plenty of years to work before I die.
  7. Thoughts from the collective? I’ve emailed both the program coordinator and the admissions coordinator weeks ago after my interview for a timeline update and never heard back from them. Would emailing again for an update be overkill? I could email my PI instead but I’m worried I’ll come across as too pushy. It’s been a long time since the interview and even though they told us it could take a while and to have patience until April 15 this is driving me crazy. there’s been no news on gradcafe either so I don’t think decisions have been made.
  8. Oof I feel you. At least there’s info getting posted on gradcafe to have some idea of what’s going on. Hang in there!
  9. Sending good vibes to you too! It’s been complete radio silence from the one I’m waiting to hear from. Makes me feel like I hallucinated interviewing with them. If I didn’t have email proof from the department and from professors, I would chock it up to an extremely vivid stress dream.
  10. Yes it would have! I think it all has to do with funding though ? some departments just don’t know yet what their budget will be. I think the Limbo this year is even worse for those waitlisted because of that.
  11. One more month to go ? I’m convinced I will find out at 11:59 pm on April 15th that I have been rejected.
  12. It’s been over a month since I interviewed with a program. I sent a follow up thank you email and got a nice response back. Since then, it’s been complete radio silence. I waited a few weeks before politely emailing both the graduate coordinator and the program lead expressing continued interest and asking for an update on the timeline for hearing back. Still no word! I’m assuming rejected but the not knowing is driving me crazy. Just reject me or let me know I’m waitlisted or *something*
  13. I’m irriationally checking my junk email inbox *just in case* so much so that I’m now getting lovely ads in my normal inbox. And of course my heart bungee jumps each time it sees a new email come in only to be asked if I want to invest in an ED pill.
  14. Ok has anyone heard anything from University of Georgia’s counseling psychology program? It’s been radio silence since the interview a month ago and I’m losing my mind.
  15. Alright guys... how long do we wait to get off the waitlist? I'm interviewing for a really awesome back up plan job but am also waitlisted for my dream program. I let the job know I could tell them if I was going to accept by the end of March. PS if someone is holding an A&M counseling psych offer and isn't planning on accepting please let it go ?
