  1. When I click on "Admissions Status" and "Autumn of 2019" both take me to Application Summary where there's no explicit admissions status. Is anyone else having this problem? or does this just mean I didn't get in or they haven't reviewed my application yet?
  2. I'm still waiting to hear back from SJSU, CSUEB, Loma Linda, and University of Redlands. If I get into a CSU, it'd save me a ton of money and there are multiple other personal benefits to staying as well. It's just a little hard giving up the opportunity to live in NYC I also tried to call the speech and hearing association in CA multiple times to ask about state-to-state licensure but they never picked up /:
  3. Congratulations on CSUEB! May I ask how your skype interview went and what kinds of questions they asked?
  4. Need help with deciding on schools! I'm still waiting to hear back from other SLP programs, but so far I've been accepted to NYU's ~3-year program and UOP's accelerated 24-month program. For tuition alone, they're basically the same and I really like both programs. Stockton doesn't seem all that fun (but you can correct me if I'm wrong on that), and the idea of going to grad school in NYC is really appealing to me since it's my last chance to study out-of-state in a vibrant place with tons of places to explore, but idk if that makes up for the bad weather, noisy streets, expensive rent & food, not having a car, and being away from friends and family for 3 years. I know the cons of going to NYU really seem to outweigh the pros, but what do you guys think? Is experiencing life in NYC all that great? Would grad school leave me no time to even explore (and so location wouldn't really matter in that sense)? If I go out-of-state, how feasible is it to get licensed and employed (especially in a medical setting) back in CA? Any sort of insight, as well as info for either program, would be appreciated!
  5. Just got accepted to NYU's on-campus program for Fall 2019 on 3/6 at 7:00AM PST via email! Congrats to those who also got accepted! I'm still waiting to hear back from other schools (that are a lot cheaper lol) but I'm definitely excited! Here're my stats: GPA: 3.3 (this is what I was worried about the most) GRE: Verbal 156, Quantitative 161, Writing 4.5 Here're some stats that are written on NYU's website: https://steinhardt.nyu.edu/csd/masters/ms_prospective_students Data on accepted applicants: Below is information about the interquartile range for GRE-verbal, GRE-quantitative, and GRE-writing. The interquartile range is the middle 50% of scores. This means that 25% of the accepted students are below this range and 25% are above this range. In evaluating applications, we examine the whole application, including letters of recommendation and statements of purpose. GRE-verbal: 152–160 GRE-quantitative: 150–156 GRE-writing: 4.0–5.0 I'm not sure how big each cohort typically is, but during an online info session (for the on-campus program) the presenter said they receive 500-600 applications and accept around 50 students.
