Anyone has any experience with the Erasmus Mundus Glodep program?

"but it might just be because students who don´t get a scholarship simply don´t go." this is accurate, from my understanding, too. i didnt apply to GLODEP bc i was daunted by the high # of application they received, which in retrospect was an error. (i applied to GLOCAL, which ended up receiving much more applications this year than GLODEP) good luck to your gf. you re a good partner, putting in the research for her. -
do u know your position? i m curious abt this too, but (as u know) not particularly hopeful.

not sure what you mean (unless you ve lied abt something)? but yeah, it s weird how ppl are asking abt 'profiles' as if we are competing against each other, or as if this forum matters at all or in any capacity. we re just trying to make sense of a process, or at least i am.

yeah, apparently so. so, should i no longer keep my hopes up? (not like i was, anyway) it is, indeed, my first year applying, but i really want to go to school next year. it seems to me that a lot of people were disappointed with the glocal process, or at least that s how it seems online. they admit so many people, but only offer the award to so few. i m not really sure i see the point of having a reserve list of 600 people. and it s bizarre that so few people choose to attend it self-funded the other program i applied to was journalism, and i m so happy with how it all was handled, even if i didnt get the scholarship for it either. though for journalism, 80% of the students are self-funded. so it is hard to not consider that a sign of the caliber of the program

honestly, i think i ll appeal. though there seems to be no hope to get anywhere through that. i m pretty pissed, tbh. generally the application experience has been fairly abominable for me. and i really regret not applying to 3 programs now. (i felt quite confident that i would get into GLOCAL)

thanks for saying that, but i m not really hopeful. i am from a programme country, and i applied to 2. the first one gives only 1 award to my region. the 2nd gives 5 (the one where i m #6). but there s almost definitely nobody from my country in the program. so i m thinking about another 1-year masters in the netherlands and reapply for the scheme again next year. what program are you wanting to pursue? i think the program, your financial ability to self-finance and how urgent it is for you to start next year can be your criteria for how to decide.

heyyy. i m sorry to say that i rly dont think you ll get it from being 8th on the res list. i m #1 on a reserve list, and i rly dont think i stand a chance. (who will pass on the opportunity of studying for free?) and the lists are separate. so you d need 8 ppl from the partner country list to pass, which is so highly unlikely.
