  1. Hey guys. Congrats to those of you who got in! I have a question. Is there anyone here who got rejected last year or even waitlisted and then applied again to get accepted? Also, did anyone here already graduate before applying? I'm still trying to figure out what kinds of experiences/ jobs/ volunteer hours I should do rn before I try and apply next year again. Any advice would really be appreciated
  2. Wow this is really good! Thank you so much and congrats again.
  3. Omg congratulations!!! Don't doubt yourself you deserve it! do you mind sharing what your experience was? (I'm trying to improve my experience rn and would like anything to look up to lol)
  4. Hey may I ask what you are comparing this to by saying "a lot less"? Because in Ontario so many people applied that we had thousands of unemployed teachers and that's why they made it very competitive in the past few years.. from 2 years to 1 and increased GPA and experience necessary. OISE's program wasn't even a masters program but because funding for masters is more per student, they had to cut the number of students they accept. And again "less effort needed" in comparison to what? I'm sorry if this is coming off as rude but I'm trying to understand where you are coming from. It's really insulting to come onto a forum where people are anxious, being waitlisted, being rejected, and praying to get into a program they worked years for- just to get told that effort isnt needed and the income isn't a lot. Which brings me to this point. My gpa was 3.7 in the last 2 years but my experience was really lacking. What was your experience? You do have more than me in general so let's hope u get in! keep us updated and good luck.
  5. No they don't tell you I tried. Did you get accepted any where else?
  6. Thank you. Good luck ? contemplating between moving on or applying again next year at this point. oh and for those worried about their GPA not being high enough- I had a 3.7 for the last 10 courses but I was lacking in experience. They really do take into consideration everything together. Goodluck guys!
  7. Yes but this chart is only for applicant's first choices. I found another chart with the total number of applicants here: https://ro.oise.utoronto.ca/RGS_AppStat1_PreAllPage3.html
  8. update: this is the number of ppl who applied to each program as a first choice. 1039 ppl applied to p/j this year..
  9. https://ro.oise.utoronto.ca/RGS_AppStat1_Pre1stPage3.html does anyone understand this? are these the number of ppl who got in or the number of ppl who applied? Also does anyone know how many students they accept for each stream?
  10. haven't heard anything back either.
  11. OMG when I saw my masce rejection I thought it was MT at first. I can only imagine how relieved you must be feeling right now. Congratulations!
  12. Thanks for the update. Really appreciate this! ?
  13. this is very reassuring thanks! The SGS website says decision made so that throws you off.
  14. does anyone know if there's any relationship between the admissions for the master of arts and master of teaching? I want MT but got a rejection from MA just now and was wondering if it would effect my chances at all.
