Just got the admissions offer from McMaster Global Health with scholarship! Only have a week to decide to accept or not though!

Ahh, I have accepted my Mac offer with the high hopes of hearing back from UoT once people reject their offer. I wish we could switch positions!!! Congrats

Just checked myinfo on lakehead and my status has been changed to admitted!!!!

I have been stalking this thread since the end of February - so I thought I would contribute. I got a call today at 3:45pm from Western MPH regarding my acceptance. The coordinator said that she would send out a formal email soon outlining expectations and that I would need to make a decision by May 15th! 

From what I've been told there isn't a huge difference, but doing the thesis based MPH will (allegedly) make it easier for you to pursue a Ph.D in the future. Of course if you're looking for a job specifically in public health research it may be in your favour to do the thesis-based MPH, but I was more or less told that I wouldn't be at a disadvantage for employment if I did one over the other. That's just one perspective on it, though!

What difference will it make in terms of employment(&pusuing phd) if u go course based or thesis based Mph?
 

Anyone have insights into UBC or UofT that could help ease my decision? Im having a really tough time deciding between the two schools. Both are MPH.
