I also got the invite, and if it's free it's me! I'm pretty stoked on it, since I thought I was opening up a "sorry, you were rejected... best of luck out there" letter.
Congrats! That's such a huge thing, and I'm glad at least 1/350 people have an answer. I have yet to hear anything about rejection or interviews for Yale ESI-PREP.
That seems to be the case, yeah. There might be slightly different timelines for NIH-PREP vs. ESI-PREP... if anybody posts decisions, please be specific about which of the two programs you applied to!
Earlier this week I was told by Dr. Nearon that interview invitations should be sent out by the end of this week, and then official offers by next Friday, the following Monday at the latest. This might only be for the ESI-PREP though, not sure. I didn't think to get clarifications about at which steps rejections would be sent... Decision dates might be moving now that it's Friday though.
Funny story while we all await news: I told a good friend/undergrad study buddy and my mom that I heard back from Yale..
Then I was like "April fools, I haven't heard anything!" They were displeased.... People in my life were so set up for it I couldn't resist.
Did any one else take the April Fool's opportunity?
