  5. http://www.nserc-crsng.gc.ca/_doc/Students-Etudiants/SelectionCommitteeGuide_e.pdf Your work exp counts toward your research ability and leadership.
  6. They said your proposal is really important. Ive got my proposal reviewed for 8 times before submission. I think how you write or present your proposal matters.
  7. according to the guideline, publications are counted for research ability. I myself got 2 peer-reviewed publications and 1 submitted paper at the time of my application. I have got 38/50 for my research ability and 15/20 for leadership. these two portions really help as I ve got PGS-D.
  8. My Academic excellence score is 10.5/30. I believe all the other people are getting all A+ and a long lost of scholarship. My scholarship profile is not prolific.
  9. I take 40% as a reference. Since the acceptance rate is ~40%.
  10. Received the ranking today. My position is very marginal and I feel extremely lucky to get the award.
  11. other than this, the school u are affiliated with also matters. apparently u of t got the highest chance.

  14. It is on the stats. http://www.nserc-crsng.gc.ca/NSERC-CRSNG/FundingDecisions-DecisionsFinancement/ScholarshipsAndFellowships-ConcoursDeBourses/index_eng.asp Apparently U of T has the highest chances to get the award.
  15. Yes, they only allocate 10% of the awards to direct application
  16. Dont see the relevance. Ive got rejected for the CGSM but I now I accepted for the PGS-D. But my application advisor told me that it is better to get sth (like other scholarship and awards) when you apply for PGS-D.
  17. But I had a lot of talks that I gave to the general public, media interviews (both print, tv and online) and a lot of awards/scholarships/distinctions (20+) that I have won over the years (I am involved in the community since the age of 12 and have been till this day). This is way better than publication!!!
