Thank you so much!!! Glad to hear you were more confident in your second interview. I think the interviewer matters as much as the interviewee in having a successful interview. Having someone who is friendly and seems genuinely interested in speaking to you instead of testing you/nit-picking would definitely have a positive effect on an interview. Still, hoping you're successful at both schools and that your work shines through. Don't beat yourself up too much.

I totally agree, but it is definitely hard seeing people get notifications (accepted, waitlisted and even rejected) and not hearing anything at all yet. In a past thread, someone mentioned trying to remember that each school's decision is independent of the other, and that these results aren't a judgement on your intellect and ability. I find these ideas comforting during this time.

You are definitely not alone! And the logical part of my brain knows it's still early in the season, but I haven't gotten any contact from schools yet, so the emotional side is telling me all hope is lost. So much anxiety.

Congrats!!!! Same, same. I feel like if my first contact was an acceptance, I'd breathe a bit easier. But that's looking slim right now.

I wonder if we'll hear back from Rice or WashU today. I have that they both gave decisions around this time last year, I wonder if that trend will continue.

Hmmmm. From last year's responses on the results page, it seemed like people received the doodle poll request around the 17th (which was a Thursday, and this year it was received on Thursday 16th) Then actual interviews were done around the 25th. And they notified acceptances first week of February. This year seems in line with last year's timeline to me.
