  1. Hey @Rapscallion, did you end up going for the MPPA at Northwestern? Would love to hear about your experience as I am currently considering it. In particular, I have come across a concern in most forums that the MPPA is offered by their 'Professional school' which some how decreases its value. Personally, this doesnt bother me, but just interested to know an insider perspective.
  2. Hi, I am also interested in finding an online public policy program and came across Northwestern and Indiana. To be honest, I am more inclined towards Northwestern as the course content seems more extensive with options to specialize in different areas. It is also significantly cheaper than Indiana (46k vs 64K). I want to understand exactly how 'big' of an issue is that the Northwestern MPPA is offered by their Professional school? I have read about this issue on multiple forums but I am not sure if its a 'personal choice' or does it have a major impact on future prospects etc. A little bit about myself: I work in the UN and have had an international career for the last 6+ years. My undergrad was totally unrelated (Business admin) and I feel I am really interested in both aspects of public policy - the development of policies as well as their implementation by state authorities. My goal is to find a program which can help me pivot from a Program/Project Management role to a more policy focused one.
  3. Hey, I was wondering if you ended up going for this program?
  4. Hi, Does anyone here have any experience with the Northwestern MPPA program (online version)? I have been working with the UN for the last 5+ years mostly in Programme/Project Management. My goal is to transition into a policy role, not necessarily in the UN but at a more policy focused organization. I am quite interested in it as it merges both policy and admin together - which is quite rare. The courses seem interesting and relevant with a good focus on analytical skills. Another +ve is the online option so I can continue to work. Compared to other online programs I also found this one relatively cheaper (45k USD). Please do share any thoughts or research anyone has done on this program and do recommend any similar online programs. Based on the forums I have seen there are mixed reviews on whether the fact that its a Professional school program makes is less valuable. I am still not sure if this is a personal preference or an actual issue with 'professional schools'.
