  1. @chattycoffee Of course! I'm here if you want to chat about the program or have other questions. Best of luck this cycle! Sending all the positive energy your way!
  2. @chattycoffee I don't think UMass Amherst does interviews; at least, they didn't used to. I was accepted into the program in 2022. I ended up turning them down. It's a great program, though! Incredibly nice people! The stipend was just unliveable, especially with the teaching load. I just went back and looked-- I got the acceptance email on 1/21/22. If I remember correctly, they typically roll out their decisions earlier than most schools.
  3. Hi everyone! Sorry for the hiatus. I was teaching four courses and doing research this semester on top of balancing my applications. It's definitely been a journey! But, now we wait. Does anyone have any January deadlines? I miss when the majority of schools had January 1st or 15th deadlines. I feel like they push them earlier and earlier every year.
  4. With the fall semester quickly approaching, who else is gearing up for the 2025 PhD application cycle? This is my second cycle. I got accepted into a program in 2022, but it was not the right fit. Here's to hoping for a better outcome this time around! Best of luck, everyone!
  5. Congratulations on the interview! I'm so glad to hear it went well. I'm actually a NU alum, and have nothing but amazing things to say about the English department. Out of curiosity, do you mind me asking who your POI is? Also, if you have any questions about NU or the department itself please feel free to message me.
  6. Don't worry, I freaked out too because mine wasn't showing up on the check list either. However, if you look at your application proof it should show up (mine did). There's a button for it on the right side right above 'log out'. Best of luck!
