Just heard from district 4 - it's a no.

well according to btermite district 4 has... but neither pecanpie2020 or I have gotten anything... and if you google "rhodes finalist" and restrict to this week, you can see many articles from other district schools, but none from distict 4 ?

District 2 here. Just heard back...not advancing. Best of luck to everyone moving forward and to those still waiting!

District 12 came out this morning as well. No for me, but best of luck to the rest of you!

@GoCParis @Anxious2020 Wait, so if I'm reading this right, does that mean that District 4 has notified all those who have been selected, but just haven't gotten around to notifying those who haven't been selected? Because if so, that's not too nice.

I guess for my district it can be kind of common, but I’m not totally sure. Hopefully you are right! 

District 5 just announced. No interview for me, but good luck to the rest of you!

@Fingers Crossed! From the Rhodes advisor for my university. She keeps a spreadsheet of it, I think. lol
I haven't seen the spreadsheet myself, but she told me my district will often find out as late as exactly 2 weeks before.

For those of us that are still waiting, surely today must be the day?
I don't think I've ever heard of decisions coming as late as November 4th.

In their confirmation email, they say that they plan on contacting all applications with the decision

On hearing of my Marshall denial, a prof. sent this to me. I found it helpful, and am writing my “failure CV” as we speak. Thought I would pass it on! 

Maybe I’ll go as a rejection letter to my Halloween party tonight. ?

Welcome to another day of WAITING 

My friend who applied from Florida found out he was a Rhodes finalist at 9:12a EST this morning. 
He's in district 7, which includes: Alabama, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Either the group of people on here checks the thread incessantly for updates (which is totally possible, I sure have been), or there are tons of lurkers.  

Just wanted to throw this out to there- All the committees are pretty different and the committees vary year to year. But I was lucky enough to interview for both 2 years ago (clearly didn’t win either) and remember how anxious I was going into it.  
I know a ton of colleges don’t have a big fellowship office/lots of previous winners or finalists as alums. So if anyone is looking for some kind of info about how the process felt, or just hearing at least one person’s experience etc. for either, please feel free to PM me.

Nothing for my Rhodes, which is Utah. 
I guess my advisor was saying that my district always hears last though! 
Not really expecting to make it, but can’t help but hold on to a little bit of hope.

I honestly really don’t think there’s a standard “system” for how notifying is done, you never know.

Rhodes Philadelphia notified today, but seems like nobody else here was in that region!
Got the email a bit after 4, just for reference.  

Rhodes tends to be very end of October/beginning of November - I wouldn't be surprised if it comes on Thursday or Friday.

Well apologies if I gave a false hope, I know someone who heard so I figured we’d all hear.  Maybe tomorrow.
