  1. Congrats!
  2. People who got the Johns Hopkins acceptances, would you be willing to share your time period/region?
  3. Same question to the JHU posters!
  4. Constantly waking up at night and checking your e-mail, since it is daytime in the US: The Foreign Applicant Experience™
  5. Oh sorry then, I assumed that because I remembered reading it here but I probably mixed Berkeley up with another university.
  6. I'm sorry to hear that. Good luck with your other options!
  7. Seems like Berkeley is sending out some answers- does anyone know if they usually come in a single batch? edit: could be a troll though, as it seems very early for Berkeley, who normally send out answers mid-February.
  8. Hey, it's me- my regional focus is the Atlantic World (early modern).
  9. Yes! I'm the same way, when I'm really anxious it helps to do something with my hands while watching tv or listening to music. I like coloring books- you don't need a lot of brain space or talent to do that and I find it very relaxing.
  10. I've noticed about 8 people in results page reporting that they got interview requests from Berkeley. I didn't get one so... probably not a great sign.
  11. Thank you so much!
  12. Thank you!
  13. People who applied in previous years: when did you get the answers/interview requests? I have applied to the History programs at: Harvard, Brown, Chicago, Johns Hopkins, NYU, Rutgers, U-Mich, Chicago, Oxford and UCL. I am so freaking anxious, is this what being in limbo feels like
  14. Sounds like a plan. Well maybe except for the interviews.
  15. Thank you guys, I really appreciate it.
  16. Hi everyone, I'm about to take the GRE in a couple of days (yeah it's late, the original date I was supposed to take it on was cancelled and that's the earliest one ETS could offer). I'm pretty sure I am going to do ok in verbal, but I'm probably going to bomb in the quant section. Do you think it will affect my chances of getting into History programs in top schools?
  17. Hello everyone, I'm taking the GRE in a couple of days (yes it's late, the date I was registered to originally was cancelled, I've already discussed this with all the relevant departments). I'm really horrible at math, and didn't really get to study enough as I was working hard on the application materials. I was wondering- do you think a (very) low quant grade would mess up my chances of acceptance to top schools? For context, I am applying to: Johns Hopkins, Berkeley, Chicago, Brown, Harvard, Rutgers (and Michigan, who don't require GRE)
