If you can, you should release one of the offers (keep your top choice out of the two) while waiting for the last offer letter. When you get the offer letter, choose between those schools (release another one of the offers). Then you can pursue the last interview while only holding onto one offer. If it gets close to the April 15 deadline, you can accept the offer you have & give up on the last interview. That’s what I would do at least good luck!

Can you be accepted off of a waitlist after April 15th?

Yes you definitely should! The places I’m waitlisted we’re very clear to let them know if I accept elsewhere. It can influence rotating funding etc.

If you have other acceptances I would reach out to the DCT at the school you’re waiting to hear from! They’ll understand and definitely give you an update.

I had a few interviews where they said they would get back to us in 1-2 weeks to let us know “either way” and then I never heard from them. I waited 3 full weeks and then sent an email saying another program was asking me to rank my interest but I am still interested in their program and would like to check on my status. I emailed the DCTs and heard back right away (same day), although I got no detail about ranking on the waitlist. I don’t think either school planned to tell me I was waitlisted which is really annoying. I suggest reaching out or you might not hear until they decide you’re rejected (or you get accepted off the waitlist).
