  1. Hi all, I'm applying for a PhD in the biomedical sciences at Oxford. I've got some SOP guidelines from them which is really helpful. I'm just having some difficulty sticking to the word limit and realise that my research descriptions are too long. I would appreciate another person's perspective on what's is deemed as necessary and whats not. Thanks and happy new year!
  2. Hi guys, I'm applying for a PhD in Medical Sciences and I'm struggling a bit as I've never had to write SOPs or personal essays for any previous courses. I'm applying to Oxford but I've been told the structure and purpose doesn't really differ to US SOPs. My department did provide some guidelines which is handy. I would really appreciate it if someone with experience could have a look at it for me? Please let me know and I'll PM you the draft and guide. Thanks!
  3. Hi there, I'm applying for a PhD in medical sciences and I'm unsure whether my personal statement is up to standard. I would really appreciate it if a grad with some knowledge in this area can have a look at it and give me some feedback. My project would focus on using stem cell models to look at immune interactions controlling cancer formation. I've never written a personal statement for any previous course admissions and unfortunately I'm not particularly articulate.
