  1. Yep, you are always helpful everywhere That makes sense. Hmm, it seems to be SSHRC Doctoral Fellowship, but Joseph-Armand Bombardier CGS Doctoral Scholarship. Good grief, I will never get the naming convention.
  2. So these should be listed? By the way, are they called the Doctoral Fellowships or Doctoral Scholarships? Is there a difference? What if you were awarded it but declined it? (Does that mean you have the Scholarship but not the Fellowship?)

Geez Bill, that's monstrous! I'm gonna have to ask you for tips next year!

    SSHRC 2010

Best to reiterate: If you didn't get something this year, don't be discouraged! The mail finally arrived. I'm surprised I got what I did given the score. 1. Funded in category C ($35k/3yrs if in Canada, $20k/4yrs if elsewhere); score: 18.6/30 2. BC 3. Letter received: May 11; Letter postmarked: May 5; Letter dated: May 3 4. Economics 5. Applied through university 6. Would be starting 1st year PhD. 7. Taylor, Ross, or Queen's Fellowship?? Nope. 8. Just finished undergrad, so first time applying. No publications or conferences or anything completed. edit: How would I word emails informing schools of this?

To the econ guys: does a SSHRC have anywhere near the decision-changing potential of the NSF? How do Americans view it?

Aww, they don't give any comments whatsoever? I was informed yesterday by the grad director at my current institution that I got the $35k/3yr CGS! When I get the actual letter with the score, I'll post my details.
