Columbia did the same thing when I applied to them two years ago. Seems pretty standard for them.

I just assume that I didn't get in anywhere. Then, if I do get in, it'll be a pleasant surprise, and if I don't, I won't be disappointed.

I have not, but last time I applied I didn't hear back until the middle of February.

This is what happened to me; I was rejected by the University of Chicago's PhD program, but admitted to their Master of Arts, which I accepted.
